You can even add a special touch when cooking something like palak paneer or tikka masala. It is even includes deserts like the rice pudding that you will really enjoy preparing quite so often. There are quite a lot of lentils recipes as well; in fact the author has dedicated an entire chapter of the cook book to them including lentil soups as well.

All the ingredients that this cookbook instructs the cook to use are quite common and spices required include cilantro, cumin, garlic, ginger, peppers and turmeric. Fats and oils are absent from the list of ingredients therefore every recipe in this book is a healthy and nutritional one. Mostly the necessary ingredients are legumes, healthy spices, vegetables, while fats and oils are only called for where necessary. Lovely colored photos are also present in the book in the form of illustrations. Once you and your family has tried a recipe from this book you will never again think about going to an Indian food restaurant again.

 

I bought the Cuisinart BFP-10CH PowerBlend Duet Blender because with one base and two attachments; it was the perfect way to get two kitchen essentials without needing to make two purchases. I also wouldn’t need to or find space for two more appliances. So far, besides what seemed like an oil smell that subsided with use, I cannot find a problem with it.

Within seconds I get to go from making juices or smoothies with a 7-speed blender to processing, shredding or slicing ingredients in a 3 cup food processor. The best part is, when I’m done, they go right into the dishwasher, which means no extra space needed, food preparation is a breeze, and cleaning up after is just as easy. They parts also clean up easily by hand.

The Cusinart duet blender packs a lot of power with a 600 watt motor, making it easy to move from chopping ice for a smoothie to slicing vegetables for the perfect salad. Functions on the touchpad control include: ice crush, purée, food processor, chop, stir, pulse, mix, on, and off. The LED indicators make it easy to see which function I select each time.

The glass blender attachment is a 56 ounce jar with a 2 ounce pour lid for easy additions to whatever is being blended. The food processor attachment comes with a chopping blade, shredding or slicing disc, a tube, and a pusher; all of which are removable for easy cleaning.

Another thing I like of it is the cord storage feature, I simply push in the cord when I’m done and I know that it is safe until I need to use it again. It also helps to lessen the space the appliance takes up, and I don’t have to worry about detangling the cord when I need it. It may not be the sleekest of appliances but, I also like the black and chrome look. It’s simple, it’s neat, and the bottom line is it works.

So far it has held up to everything I’ve thrown at it, my thick smoothies being no exception, but I also find comfort in knowing that the accessories or parts are relatively easy to get should I need to replace them.

If I was looking to lose weight, I would stick to the lower calorie meals. However, if I was hoping to maintain, I could eat something with a little more calories. I was excited to have healthy meals that would help me to lose weight and taste delicious.

The day that I purchased this book to lose weight was quite possibly one of the best days of my life. My sister would cook meals and I would also cook some meals, and then the two of us would share. This way, we would both be able to try some of these delicious foods a little bit at a time.

One cookbook that I have found to eliminate some of these issues is the Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook.  This easy recipe cookbook has recipes that children can make and it also has that “wow” factor. This book is a must have for parents whose children have read the books, watched the movies and are looking for that extra task to ward off the finality of the situation at hand. Not only does this cookbook have recipes that sound like something the characters in the books would eat, it also has little stories that go along with them.  I feel that the only problem left will be deciding which recipe to make first!  All of the recipes are kid friendly and if your children want to help more in the kitchen, this book is also parent approved.
